Information and Broadcasting and Textiles Minister, Smriti Irani, has said, the government will ensure that honest traders, businessmen and tax payers are not harassed by any agency under GST. She said, nobody will ask about the past transactions of those who want to come under formal economy through the new tax regime. She was addressing a seminar on "GST- a tool to inclusive growth" in Ahmedabad today. The Minister urged the business community to become a part of GST which she said is part of a series of reforms initiated by Narendra Modi Government in the last three years.
Beauti of GST is this its a destination that any body who is part of GST as a trader as a manufecturer gets it back as in imput tax credit.
